The Largest Classic Club Meeting

Clubs play a central role in the Techno Classic Salon. Since the first edition of Techno Classica they stand for the great commitment of the scene.

In 1989, when the first Techno Classica opened its doors, nothing went without it: the many clubs, associations and interest groups where lovers and fans have joined together to achieve more for their cause. At that time, for the first edition, there were 70 clubs among 255 exhibitors who presented themselves. Over the years, the fair has also seen a huge increase in the number of volunteer appearances - both in terms of quality and quantity. The close connection between the scene and the fair has remained: Since the beginning, the organizer S.I.H.A. has made the exhibition space available free of charge to all clubs that do not present themselves at the manufacturer's stands.

Passion without frontiers

At this year's Classics World Fair, numerous communities will once again show a cross-section of the entire, diverse scene and present themselves, their vehicles and services. The clubs represent almost all car brands, often also individual series or vehicle models. The motorcycle and scooter classics are also represented with numerous stands.

The clubs are in a real race when it comes to designing their stands at the Techno Classica. Special incentive for maximum volunteer work: Since the first edition, the organizer S.I.H.A. has been honouring the most imaginative stands of the classic clubs, interest groups, brand clubs and associations with coveted awards such as trophies and considerable cash prizes - and thus established a tradition that is maintained to this day. As a "Club Grand Prix" this renowned competition is well known in the scene.

The importance of the clubs at Techno Classica Salon is underlined by the close partnership of the organizer S.I.H.A. with FIVA. The Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens is the world association of classic car clubs. It is committed to the preservation and the permanent use of historic vehicles, which are an important part of our technical cultural heritage. Founded in Paris in 1966, FIVA today represents a total of over 1.5 million classic car owners from over 60 countries and, in the best tradition, takes over the patronage of Techno Classica Essen.
